He works closely training young men to be leaders in the church, discipling young people and teaching them what it means to follow Jesus. He also directs the East Caracas Church Choir.

Venezuela

Not only does Jonathan work in Caracas, but his work extends to many different parts of Venezuela as well. Because of the great spiritual and physical needs of the Eastern region of Venezuela, Jonathan has made a special effort to reach out to the people there. He is regularly invited to preach, teach seminars and lead evangelistic campaigns.

One of Jonathan’s most exciting projects is the octet, Unión C. It is a group of eight singers who travel throughout Venezuela, preaching and teaching God’s Word through song. You can download their first CD from Jonathan’s website. He also sings with “The Guata-K Boys” and with the C.U.I.C. which in English stands for the United Chorale of the Churches of Christ in Venezuela.

Colombia

Jonathan also makes several trips each year to Colombia. He has had the blessing to serve different churches in Bogotá, Santa Marta, Medellín, Pereira and Cali. Jonathan greatly enjoys working with the Colombian brethren because of their great love for God’s Word! Since his first trip to Colombia in October of 2006, Jonathan has taught at two National Youth Camps, preached in many different congregations and taught several seminars.

How can you help?

Do you think you might be able to help out with the work in South America? There are many ways you can help! You can be of great service by praying daily for the work in South America! We can always use materials for children’s Bible classes and other ministry tools. You can help by contributing financially to the work in South America. If you speak Spanish, and even if you do not speak Spanish, we would love to have you visit us!

North Americans do not need a visit to visit Venezuela! A visit from our Christian brothers and sisters in the United States is a great way to encourage the work here in South America! There are so many ways to help! Pray about it and ask God to help you make an eternal impact on the work in South America!
