We’re glad God brought you to us. Whether you’re just visiting and looking for a place to worship, you’re looking for a church home, or you’ve never attended church and are looking for a place to experience God’s love, we know you’ll find what you’re looking for at Northwest.
Northwest is a growing church family with people from all walks of life, united by one thing – the Bible. Make sure you let one of our greeters know you’re new so they can get you an information packet and introduce you to our ministers and members. We have classes and groups for all ages so you’re sure to find your niche.

What to Expect at a Sunday Worship Service
We recognize that it can be a bit intimidating coming into a church service for the very first time, so we thought it might be helpful to give you a bit of a “heads up” on what to expect.
When you enter the building you will be greeted and handed an information bulletin. An usher will help you find a seat in the auditorium or, for classes, will help you find the right location.
From 9 am to 10 am Bible classes for all ages are available. Worship begins at 10 am.
Before the worship begins you will see the current church announcements displayed on the screen. Also, there are various bulletin boards that display different Northwest ministries. We hope these announcements will inspire you to get involved and stay a while.

Music
As our worship begins, you will notice our music is somewhat different – it is “a cappella” (without instruments). We treasure this method of worship music because it encourages everyone to participate in the singing. The music is both traditional and contemporary in style. We do not expect you to know the words of all the songs, so we project the words on the screen at the front of the auditorium. We also have song books in every pew. If you don’t know the tune just listen and join in when you are ready. We usually begin our worship with songs of praise to God
.
Communion
We partake of The Lord’s Supper every Sunday. This memorial supper was inaugurated by Jesus on the night of his betrayal (Matthew 26:26-28). It is observed by Christians in memory of the Lord’s death (1 Corinthians 11:24, 25). The unleavened bread and fruit of the vine symbolize the body and blood of Jesus (1 Corinthians 10:16). If you are a believer in Jesus you are welcome to commune with us.

Offering
We also take a collection each Sunday to give the members an opportunity to support the many works of the Northwest Church of Christ and all of our mission efforts. If you are a visitor, there is no expectation for you to give.

Sermon
Every Sunday we have a message from a Bible passage or topic, most often given by our pulpit minister. The intent of the message is to draw us closer to understanding and fellowshipping with God and to challenge us to live lives of faithful service in his kingdom. The lesson usually ends with an invitation for those who want to be baptized, place membership with the Northwest church, or ask for the prayers of the church.

Appropriate Dress
Some people have asked: What do I wear? At Northwest you will be comfortable dressing casual to Sunday Dress-up. We provide a very comfortable setting that focuses on people and not appearance.
