What we believe
Northwest Church of Christ looks to the beliefs and practices of the earliest Christian church as a pattern for faith and worship today.

God
We believe in the one God who is revealed in the Bible. He is a personal God who desires a relationship with His creation.
Jesus
We believe that Jesus of Nazareth is the Messiah and embodied Son of God. He died, was buried, and rose from the dead. God has appointed him as King over all creation, and one day He will return to make the world right.
The Holy Spirit
We believe that God’s personal presence lives inside of Christians to guide, strengthen, and help us become more like Jesus.
The Bible
We believe that God revealed Himself to His creation through the Bible. As God’s word, it is reliable and has the final say in matters of faith, worship, and life.
The Church
We believe that community is essential to the Christian life. Before he left, Jesus gathered his followers into the Church to help each other and bless the world.
Salvation
We believe that humanity is separated from God by sin. Through union with Jesus in baptism, our sin is forgiven and we are reconciled with God.
Discipleship
We believe that following Jesus is a lifelong journey. Each day, the Holy Spirit empowers us to act, think, and love more like Jesus.
